Giant Duck und verletztes Bein..

Hey Leute, musste The Great Race heute leider für mich absagen, da mein Bein gestern wieder angefangen hat wehzutun. 
Aber gestern habe ich mich auch mit rebecca getroffen und haben soooo viel gequatscht und uns die Giant duck am Pittsburgh Point State Park angekuckt.

Und am Abend hatten wir dann einen sleepover mit den XC Girls aber Katja und ich sind um elf abgehauen . War aber Super lustig !

1 week til homecoming..

Ahhh endlich diese anstrengende Woche hinter mir und jetzt ein entspanntes Wochenende ! Denkste, but that's not true. This weekend is gonna be very tough actually. Tonight we have our 2nd home game..

We have to be at 6:30 a.m. at school tomorrow because we have a meet @uniontown which is about an hour away. My leg hurts a little bit again but I hope it'll be better tomorrow.
The meet ends at ca. 12:30 that means I'm at home at 2. After that Mark is gonna take me to Pittsburgh where I'll meet rebecca ( she comes with her hostsister and host grandparents to see the huge duck - its about 12m tall and stays in Pittsburgh for 3 weeks!! I'm so excited to see it haha ) . I reaaallly looking forward to see her again :)
In the evning we have a XC Sleepover where we're gonna tie dye (batik) our new XC shirts. Katja and I aren't sure yet if we'll sleepover or if we leave @ the evening because on sunday we have to get up early again because of 'The Great Race' . We have to wake up at 7am, the race starts at 9:30. It's a 10k (you don't say it's a 10km in amerika they just say 'k') with 10,000 runners. It's gonna be fun, I never ran such a big race and I hope my leg will be fine..
So that's my weekend .. And next Wednesday is Senior spirit week ( monday: college sweatshirt; tues: hat day; wednesday: pink day...), on Thursday is the Homecoming Bonfire, Friday our Homecoming football game and saturday Homecoming Dance. And Sunday is the 20th birthday of my dear sister, Lisa <3

A few weeks ago Bianca, a girl from my XC who is also in charge with the school newspaper , asked me for an interview because they wanted to do a site with all the Exchange students. The newspaper was published today and when I read I just thought: Oh no, what did I say?? hahaha but read on your own, I'll post a picture of it .

Hey alle zusammen, habe ja jetzt schon wieder einige Zeit nicht geschrieben und muss sagen, dass ich immer fauler werde um zu berichten.
Ich liefere euch nun ein paar Fotos größten Teils vom letzen Wochenende..
Der Hebrst ist auch hier angekommen, die Temperaturen sinken- aber über den Tag ist es meistens noch ziemlich schön- und die Blätter fallen.. Haben 2 suuuuuuuper schöne Bäume in unserer Straße die tolle Farben haben..!

Eating Spätzle.. Glaube das meine Gastschwester nicht so begeistert war und hatte das Gefühl - auch wenn sie meinten, es würde ihnen schmecken - das Vicki und Mark auch nicht soooo begeistert waren. Mark vielleicht mehr als Vicki.. Mir hat's geschmeckt und ich war ziemlich stolz auf meine ersten eigenen Spätzle!

Sorry guys that I started with such a sad quote but today is 9/11 and we have to remind the happenings and commemorate the almost 3000 people who died because of this horrible attack.

Some people wore a tie with the flag of the United States today or had a ribbon in their hairs.
In the morning we had a minute of silence but the rest of the day was pretty normal.

My last few days had been very exhausting.. I have actually no time because Cross Country and School are taking me off my freetime hahah.
This weekend we have the band festival at Hempfield on Saturday and on sunday my hostfamily and me will join the Pirates Game at the stadium.
I have a lot of homework to do and I'm always tired when school ends.. We've got 1 meet per week for cross country and I think we won our meet on tuesday. My coach says to my hostmum that he is very impressed of me and my will.. I almost died on the last meet, but hey I've been 11th place! And 7th just of the girls from our Cross country tream and actually that means that I am a varsity - varsity: good ones ; Junior Varsity: not sooo good ones / beginners ) now.. He don't talked to me yet because practice today was canceled because of the weather and I actually don't hope so because the varsity practice is very hard and they have to do very well at meets.

You can't see that much but yeah it's me :D













 Yesterday was my 1 month-being-in-murrysville-celebration hahaha . I actually didn't recognized it but my hostmum bought a reeeaaallly yummy cake to eat. It was like Schwarzwälderkirschtorte just better.

I'm really sore from the meet yesterday.. And tomorrow I have the first meet of the french club ( I'm the secretary) in the morning and in the afternoon I'll have the first meet of Kids helping kids club. I'm really excited about the KHK. 

Sorry if I won't write so much in the next time but I'm really busy in the next few weeks..

Homecoming Dress shopping

Katja,Vicki und ich haben uns dann heute mittag , nach unserem sehr erfolgreichem Car Wash - wir haben insgesamt über $800 einkassiert- auf dem Weg zu Sissi's Closet gemacht. Das ist eine Botique in Greensburg.Greensburg ist die 'Hauptstadt' von unserem County - dem Westmoreland County.
Die Kleider waren teilweise ganz schön, aber die, die nicht ZU kitschig waren, waren dann an die $500 und das ist nun wirklich zu viel für ein Kleid, dass du einmal oder zweimal tragen wirst..!
Als wir also nichts gefunden haben sind wir zur Westmoreland Mall gefahren - 5 min . Auf dem Weg dort hin hab ich ein Aldi (SÜD) entdeckt hihihi.
Wir waren alle sehr durstig und hungrig da wir nicht wirklich Mittag essen konnten also sind wir in der mall zu Auntie Anne's gegangen und haben dort was geturnken und eine der super leckeren ( und fettigen! ) Brezeln gegessen.
Danach sind wir zu macy's gegangen und dort habe ich sofort ein paar Kleider gefunden. Katja hatte eins, aber das hat ihr leider nicht gefallen.
Es gab ein Kleid, es war das letze und eigentlich dachten wir, es wäre zu groß, aber es passte super und sah perfekt aus. Es ist nicht zu kitschig und das ist gut..!!
Dennoch wollte ich es erstmal zurücklegen lassen , da wir noch woanders gucken wollten . wir gingen zu JCPenny's und dort habe ich auch gleich wieder 3 Kleider gefunden und in das eine habe ich mich sooooooooooooo verliebt! Es ist schwarz und eifach wunderschön. Aber da es nicht wirklich was für Homecoming ist (da es zu schlicht ist) , war ich mir nicht ganz sicher welches ich nun kaufen soll.. Katja und Vicki waren von beiden Kleidern begeistert und Katja hielf mir dann aus der Situation in dem sie mich dran erinnerte , dass es mehrere Anlässe für mich geben wird dieses Jahr (SENIOR YEAR) , an denen ich ein solches Kleid gebrauchen könnte und da es runtergestzt war nahm ich letzendlich beide.
Nun hatte Katja immer noch kein Kleid und war - verständlich- frustriert. Also fuhren wir zu einem Brautkleidergeschäft, wo aber auch sehr schöne andere Kleider verkauft wurden.
Dort hatte sie 3 gute und gleich das erste war perfekt für sie, sie wollte die anderen gar nicht mehr anprobieren.
Jaaa das war so unser Tag. Morgen früh geht's dann ab zum Steelers game - um 13h geht's los.

Hey, gestern wurde ich von Caleb zum Homecoming gefragt. Hab natürlich ja gesagt. Caleb ist nen Kumpel, der Chef von den Bandmanagern ist. Ist n ganz netter Typ und hat noch nen Zwilling, Josh, der auch in der Band ist.
Und jetzt kommt dieeeee Nachricht: Ich bin Senior! Ich dachte die ganze Zeit, dass ich Junior bin, weil ich in 2 Klassen bin wo nur Junior sind.. Aber da die anderen Austauschschüler alle Senior waren und ich nicht, bin ich gestern zu meinem Counselor gegangen und habe nachgefragt. Der hat mir dann gesagt, dass ich Senior bin und das er auch nicht weiß, warum ich in 2 Junior Klassen gesteckt wurden. Ich muss sie aber nicht wechseln, ich liebe die beiden Klassen ( American Studies und Englisch ) .
Jetzt gehts gleich ab zum Car Wash fürs Cross country und heute abend zu Tori - Harry Potter Abend!!!
Morgen gehe ich zu meinem ersten Steelers game und es ist huge, da es das Opening Game der Saison ist. Katja und ich werden alleine gehen und es ist auch ihr erstes Steelers game!!
Das wird so cool :)

Next Saturday is car wash with the cross country team and I'll have a Harry potter evening with tori :)
